Ich denke, der Sergeant hat überhaupt nicht im Krieg gedient und ging erst danach zur Armee. Er berichtet einfach nur aus familiärer Erfahrung und der Gegenwart von 1952.

Und wie lange genau soll die Politik das mit den jungen Menschen ausdiskutieren? Damit eine Mehrpflicht nicht mehrheitlich abgelehnt wird, müsste sich das gesamtgesellschaftliche Mindset in Deutschland komplett wandeln. Schon an sich utopisch, mit Blick auf die aktuelle Lage noch einmal mehr.
