NEW POST! I've been thinking about the Minnesota Timberwolves a lot this offseason, so I decided to write about them. Here are some thoughts on the perils of going all-in, how the league may have already passed them by, and the realities of parity under this CBA:

Some words about the margin for error in a truly loaded Western Conference, the realities of parity under this CBA, and what going all-in really gets you

Some news: I am now also publishing on YouTube! Invest early with a subscription, I plan on building this out quite a bit. I appreciate all of the support I've ever received to this point, and I've got no plans to slow down.
Kel'el Ware was a dominant presence on both ends of the floor last night against the Nets. On Substack, I broke down how his size and athleticism unleash that impact, as well as how it synergizes with Bam Adebayo.

Cam Spencer is currently shooting over 50% from three on the season (lmao), but that's just a part of why he's such a valuable offensive player. On Substack, I broke down what he does as a shooter, mover, and playmaker, and why it's so effective.

Kon Knueppel's 29-point game in Charlotte's latest win was just the latest proof that this guy's going to be in the league for a long time. On Substack, I discussed why his floor is already so high, and why I'm fascinated to see how high the ceiling can get.

Jalen Brunson's 40-point masterpiece to send the Knicks to the NBA Cup Final was the latest reminder that he's become one of the very best scorers in the NBA. On Substack, I broke down how he's so deadly from everywhere, and why his playmaking is maybe underrated.

The Clippers' defensive scheme had the Rockets in the mud during the first half, and Amen Thompson was marginalized. A series of great adjustments by the coaching staff completely unlocked him down the stretch, though, and I decided to talk about it.

Desmond Bane's caught a lot of flack this season, so I wouldn't be stunned if you didn't know he's averaging over 22 points per game over his last 15. A 37-point demolition of the Miami Heat in the NBA Cup was the latest reminder of why the Magic traded for him.

At 19 years old, Dylan Harper is one of the best drivers in the league. Period. It's an incredible story that needs more attention than it's gotten, so I decided to change that on my Substack. Quick hitter, so enjoy!

Scottie Barnes is awesome. He's the best player on the Raptors, and should be a lock for both All-Star and All-Defense right now. He does so much so well, yet I still think he has real room to grow. Last night's game against Boston was one of those times.

I went to Jazz/Nets last night, and there were actually multiple player performances that stuck out to me. The one that did so arguably the most, though, was Noah Clowney, whose offensive game has officially become intriguing to me. So I broke it down!

Upon being inserted into the Mavs' starting lineup, Ryan Nembhard has made an immediate impact. After back-to-back double-doubles to help catalyze Dallas wins, I knew it was time to talk about it on my Substack.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker is currently averaging over 20 points per game. You read that right. The defensive specialist from Minnesota has morphed into an indispensable offensive piece for the Atlanta Hawks, and I decided to talk about it.

Nobody expected the Raptors to be the second in the East a month in, and I think it's a lot to do with the fact that nobody expected Brandon Ingram to fit in this well. After his 37-point game last night, I decided to break it down on Substack.

Agnostic of the trade that landed him there, Derik Queen has been HOOPING for the New Orleans Pelicans. On Substack, I broke down his 30-point showing against the Nuggets, and what makes him so unique.

Also, here's a fun stat about his on/off numbers:

Keyonte George is averaging a career-high 23 points and 7 assists per game, yet his season has hardly been discussed. In an effort to change that, I broke down his performance last night. How his skillset is finally being actualized, and some areas of growth.

I guess I can't stop talking about the Pistons. Two-Way guard Daniss Jenkins has been one of the stories of the season, and his performance has helped Detroit keep rolling without Cade Cunnigham. I broke down his 26/8 against the Pacers, and why I'm so impressed.

Jalen Johnson is turning into an All-Star in front of our eyes. Those in the loop saw this coming a long time ago, but it's incredible to watch in real time. After setting career-highs in points, rebounds, assists AND steals last night, I had to talk about it.

Nikola Jokic absolutely obliterated the Clippers last night, but it was also the first 50-point game of his career that came in a win. On Substack, I broke down the Clippers' gambit, why they did it, and how they failed. (Plus, how laughably good Jokic is.)

I was in the building for Knicks/Grizzlies last night, and got to witness Mike Brown's philosophical shifts on full display. What really stood out to me was how much it seems to have amplified Mikal Bridges on both ends. So I did a film breakdown!

I love Javonte Green. I've been a huge fan since he was starting for Lonzo Ball in Chicago, and I'm ecstatic he's on a team where he has a chance to play meaningful basketball. His double-double in Detroit's win last night made me so happy, so I broke it down!

With Jalen Williams sidelined all season so far, the OKC Thunder have needed many players to step up. Arguably none have done it more than Ajay Mitchell. My latest film breakdown discusses his clean fit, and why I think he's here to stay.

Trendon Watford just posted his first career triple-double in his first start for the 76ers. I think it's the start of more to come. My latest film breakdown dissects his unique skillset, how he synergizes with Tyrese Maxey, and why he's so important to Philly.

I've felt overdue to do a film breakdown on Ryan Rollins for a while now, and last night's performance felt like a good time to finally do it. A few minutes on why he's such a good fit with Giannis, and the reasons his breakout is so critical for the Bucks.

Jalen Green made his Phoenix Suns debut last night in a win over the LA Clippers, and I wanted to talk about it. My latest film breakdown discusses how his strengths can amplify this team, and why Devin Booker could stand to gain the most.

The Portland Trail Blazers handed the OKC Thunder their first loss of the season last night, and Deni Avdija's fingerprints were all over it with a 26/10/9 statline. He's had a remarkable start to the year, so I wanted to break it down a little bit.
