Yep, conspiracies are all fundamentally about providing simple narratives about why the world is fucked up like it is because the reality that all of this <waves> is due to stupidity and banal selfishness is much harder to understand and come to terms with than the idea it's part of a grand scheme.

The only time I could think of doing B is if somehow the two dishes worked well side by side. And I can't think of an example where this would hold. In any case, I always do A and I eat leftovers from dinner for lunch basically every day.

I mean, on one level, "why won't they vote?" is clear and powerful, but the closer it comes to being law the more attention and societal pressure will be felt, no? Forcing Trump to veto it would be pretty damming. If he lets it become law, "why won't Bondi release the files?" becomes the question.

Sure! And he then went on to publish exactly zero stories about any of this, so...

And this is also why these belief systems always seem to come as a package: if you believe in eugenics you also believe in gender as a fixed genetic determiner of intelligence and identity, in the idea that the rich "earned" their wealth and the poor are lazy "leeches" and so on.

One of the other reasons this is true is because ideas do not exist independently but live in an ecosystem of ideology. You generally arrive *at* eugenics as a post-hoc rationalization of an already existing racist world view.

And if you're one of those people who believes the two party system is bad, well, ok. But the rules that control elections which create and sustain the two party system in this country are...controlled by politicians. So if you want to change those rules it's still easier by running your own dems.

So, I think we can safely start a countdown till we find out he's sexually assaulted several women, yeah?

Yeah it needs militarism PLUS authoritarianism PLUS rightwing populism PLUS the palingenetic element.
Many movements have evolved *towards* fascism but many don't quite get there.

Populism is a style, not a policy platform. Trump is 100% populist in his approach to politics.

That's probably part of it, although it should be noted that Israel specifically has a special place within the evangelical world view as one of the things that need to happen for the end of the world and the second coming etc etc.
