Been looking forward to this one for a while.
Hopefully I will be playing it soon with a friend whose family is from ex-Jugoslavia and is obsessed with its history.
Learning from 2 different sources! 😀 🤓

It's easy to laugh at those who get paranoid about copyright and believe they have the best idea ever, then sh!t like this happens.
That is why I will never participate in a jam.
Did you know that Angry Birds, Candy Crush and even Minecraft are based on stolen ideas?

Even if it wasn't good (it is), I'd watch it for the British videogame industry references alone.
It's like when Cyberpunk 2077 came out, I pity the fools that are missing out on 90% of the context.

Freedom Fighters on the Philips Videopac (I believe the system was called Magnavox Odyssey 2 in the US).
I was very young but I clearly remember the moment that changed my life forever.

It goes from strategic to tactical and it shows how relevant #wargames are in representing real-life battles.

That means just random books that you fill shelves with.
I had no idea this was a thing and remember mentioning it to my own mother, avid reader and book collector, and she just couldn't get over it.

Interesting how #Apple could have taken one of the nerdiest aspects of computing and make it so accessible.
I grew up on 90s consoles, so all I ever wanted in life is to slot grey slabs of plastic into bigger grey slabs of plastic.

It's clear from the letters that someone in the graphic team looked into blackletter #calligraphy for a week or 2 and came up with this.
There are many, many calligraphers out there that could have done a much better job.

We knew we were working on something special and nearly 20 years later it still appears on most top-10-games charts.

-The next evolution for souls-likes is what FS hasn't done yet, which is more varied gameplay beside combat. FS games are 90% combat, which is fine, but imagine an Elden Ring (top game) but with villages, more NPCs, more trading, crafting etc.

If cyberpunk as a genre is short-term sci-fi, it is inevitable that some of it (my estimate is 10-20%) becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
This is also accelerated by metamedia and meme culture.
