I have an Alinco DJ-MD5 and a pi-star DMR hotspot on a pi zero 2W. Learning curve was a bit steep, and the idea of it is kinda neat overall, but after a while I wish I hadn't spent the money, since 2 metre VHF FM is more active here by a mile.

However, DMR is potentially great for peeps in HOAs.
