All of these little things that bother me about the Dragon Quest 1 remaster feel like they'll be perfect for 2. And both games are likely running the same engine... Started on 2 last night.

There were two dem candidates on the ballot. This "he underperformed" take is absolute bad faith considering how obvious it is that Mamdami and Cuomo split the vote.

I stumbled across unlocking sub-jobs last night, which is a positive. Was feeling kind of stuck with my starting choice, Alfyn, but sub-jobs look like they'll help with that. But I still feel compelled to have Therion and Cyrus in party most of time.

Progress. Have 5 party members so far, still getting a feel for how I'm reacting to it. Recruited Cyrus last night, which alleviates some of my frustrations with identifying enemy vulnerabilities. Boss fights have been really enjoyable with the battle system so far.

Ranked choice is you can select multiple of candidates for first choice, second choice, etc. Votes are tallied, low performing candidates get eliminated, and the ballots for those eliminated candidates get assigned to the next ranked candidate on that ballot.

This chart might be usable if deciles were converted into actual $ values. Decile representation is too abstract to be meaningful impactful.

No map / mini map in "dungeons" is my main complaint for the game. Not having one is really obnoxious at times.
