Sorry for randomly butting into a week-old exchange, I just thought this was a fun coincidence: I was the organizer of the cohost community canvas, and both you and furry-hater contributed to that -- just in different years. Your paths came SO close to crossing

from bluster to fluster....

(actually I think of the three of them Caelle is probably the least susceptible to getting flustered by mere proximity to someone she loves. And even when she DOES get flustered I don't think her confidence goes away necessarily; she's still confident she's just redder)

Got my first donation! Thank you 🥺!! I was able to enter an arearage program with National Grid, but they still want $282 per month, which is still unaffordable! Please keep boosting and help if you can! 💸💕

Every day I'm more and more sick of microsoft's bullshit and I can feel myself slipping closer to the precipice of becoming a Linux Pervert but unfortunately I need my programs to work, so I'm stuck

(Last I checked people still haven't gotten clip studio working on linux without caveats)

I was not put on this earth to mash f11 at boot-up I'm supposed to be making my OCs kiss each other

Also I had to spend like ALL DAY searching help forums and tinkering with my BIOS and fucking with my drive partitions and using the command prompt and unearthing fossilized windows settings menus just to make my PC compatible and I was way out of my depth and it's been an annoying day.

finally bit the bullet and switched to windows 11 and IMMEDIATELY I want my corners back. Annoyed me right away. Stop sanding my corners. the windows should be SHARP.

I either haven't made it to that episode yet or I blinked and I missed it lol

I'm still thinking about this one also. This is maybe the most energy anyone has ever put into showing a character going to the store

You know how anime sometimes has those awesome action scenes where the background is like fully animated in perspective and the camera's flying around and orbiting the action crazy style?

CITY has one of those that goes on for like 2 full minutes and I have NEVER seen that before

CITY is one of the most "We just really love animation" types of shows I've seen in a hot minute. There are so many insane sequences of animation in this show and so many of them are hilariously uncalled for, they're just giving it 1000% effort for fun, it's awesome

1. That's supposed to just be a regular office chair but I had to make the back too tall in order for it to read lol

2. maybe this is just me but I don't think comfortable chairs have been invented yet. Never encountered one. No one's cracked it

spiraling-over-nothing type of day
doodle of a trembling Myrrh, sitting rigidly in a chair, sweating and vibrating anxiously, captioned: 'so so so scared that she has made some kind of fatal mistake without noticing and is basically already dead (there is no evidence that anything has gone wrong at all)'

Part of what I was trying to get at though is that, for me anyway, that distinction between making the thing FOR them vs making the thing AGAINST them is sort of meaningless. If I'm making something mostly just to prove someone wrong, I'm basically doing it for them, and I don't wanna do it that way
aesungaia.neocities.org
Unfortunately the best way to stick it to the haters is to not think about them and not let them influence you one way or the other and that's really hard

But personally I would rather be able to look at my art and say "I made this because I liked it" instead of "I made this to prove someone wrong"

To me it feels (loosely) similar to, like, going out of your way to avoid certain things you enjoy just because they align with traditional gender roles and you want to prove traditional gender roles wrong but by doing the opposite of everything they say you're still letting them govern you in a way

Whenever people talk about the power of spite as a motivator (ESPECIALLY as a motivator for creative work) it makes me feel like an alien. I'm just not built like that I guess

Why would I create something for someone who hates me? Why would I give that much energy and labor to someone who hates me?
