the whole thing, for good measure. was one of the rare times I had an audible IRL reaction to a video game (which was "ha! what?")
Gale takes a deep breath, and says he understands that he asks for a lot from you (Piper, off screen) with few answers, but in time all will be told Piper winks and waves him off, telling him not to mention it and that she's happy to help Gale addresses her as "my lady" and begins to bow In the foregorund, Gale finishes his bow with a "to your boundless kindness!" and Piper awkwardly laughs at how cringy the situation seems

final part 4/4 - time to read up on fantasy osha blasting regulations #bg3gale #bg3art
Tav admits that Gale's magic idea sounds fun, but reiterates that she wants to be with him, the person - and also points out that magic won't stop her from getting her hands all over him. Flustered, Gale wheezes, but reassures Tav that her response wasn't over the top Tav asks if Gale is sure he's okay with not doing anything magic but gets distracted as he pulls her closer and says the only thing he really wants is to be with her. Then he makes a bed magically appear - for comfort, obviously They start kissing, and it's great, until Tav notices a humming and noticeable purple glow emanating from Gale's chest. She stops and asks if that's supposed to happen. Gale, who hasn't been in such a situation since he got a bomb in his chest, says he isn't sure. Gale says it doesn't feel volatile and theorizes that the glow is a benign reaction to external stimuli. Tav says she can work with that, and while pulling him closer again, tells him to say something if he feels like exploding, whether it's from the orb or other reasons.

Tav confesses her love as well, then worries she might have gone overboard by kissing him so forcefully. Gale reassures her she didn't and they kiss again with an awkward headbutt finish. Gale apologizes for being rusty and Tav reminds him that they have the whole night ahead of them Gale wants their night to be perfect, for them to bond like gods do. He magically transports them to his library in Waterdeep - the room that is the center of his universe, where the sculptures, the paintings, and the walls are enlivened by the spines of a thousand books. On the balcony outside, Gale shares that he spent many evenings lost in books in the same spot. Tav teases his habit of staying up all night reading and calls him a rebel, to which Gale asserts he must be allowed to live dangerously while he still can. He shares a book, the cover of which has two intertwined figures floating in the stars. It details the first thousand nights of a newlywed king and queen who turned everything into art - the body, exploration and acceptance of the self and the other, the art of the night itself. Tav is impressed and surprised by what she reads. Gale suggests they take a page from the book, to which Tav replies "just one?" Tav points out there's no bed where they are - not that they need one - and Gale attempts to persuade her to bond in the Weave where he could conjure up any sight she could dream of and manipulate the Weave to make them feel sensations beyond reckoning. Confused, Tav asks for clarification by conjuring some sparks and magic swirls, suggesting the experience would be more ethereal than physical, to which Gale sort of agrees

Tav accepts Gale's offer to stay, telling him that it will be hard for her to leave his side. She takes his arm and cozies up next to him as they sit under the northern lights. Gale says that one moment with her could sate him for a lifetime and prise the fear from his heart Gale thanks Tav for staying and admits that he created the scene in the sky for her, and that she's very special to him. They move closer, her hand brushing hair from his face, their other hands clasped together, and is interrupted by a melancholic sigh from Gale Gale laments that he wishes things were different, that they were home, where he'd have taken the time to do things properly, to say it all better, but time is short...and he's in love with Tav Tav's mentally elsewhere, swooning over the moment, and quickly snaps back following Gale's proclamation. Before he can repeat himself, she grabs him and kisses him with enough force to knock them both off balance. Smoochy smoochy
