Invasive species come in all shapes and sizes. This is the invasive giant centipede (Scolopendra subspinipes) a species implicated in the decline/extinction of several endemic species here on Christmas Island.

In Zhengzhou🇨🇳 for two weeks where I gave a lecture about the drivers and pathways of invasive species last week and got to see one - the (exotic) pet trade - yesterday.
