Professional Philatelist, stamp-dealer, PTS Member - that's the work stuff, also first and foremost an Evertonian, a Petrol Head and Twitter escapee. Let's hope this is as much fun as the other place used to be...
Will you swap games with the other barristers? Don't forget your C60 or no copy for you!

Oh yes! Are they like the Tom O'Connor comedy LPs that my parents used to play?

Took me a moment to work out why the rear seat had a gloved finger poking out.

Wanna collect stamps, Jim?

I just searched eBay, there's loads of postcards! I had no idea. There is one particular set I've got in mind however, it comes in a little pouch. Sure I'll lay my hands on one.

There is a set of Postbus postcards produced by the PO that turn up in stamp collections from time to time. If you haven't got a set, I'll look out for one.

I'm at the #NECclassic show, so here my best attempt at some philatelic related content!

Blimey! I remember the Commer vans in Post Office livery, not the HA vans. I went a bit Post Office daft at the recent NEC Classic Car Show, taking pictures of anything with the livery.

Only ever recall these used as British Gas vans. They must have felt ancient next to the vans based on the early 1980s Ford Escort.

As a callow youth I attended the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert at Wembley. When he belted out "Somebody to Love" we all kind of turned to one another and went "wow!"

So confirmation he didn't shrink on the big occasions at the old Twin Towers.

What a singer he was, by the way.

Band Aid kept his song Last Christmas from reaching number one, so this one's not for me, Clive (Craig).

Enjoying Karen Carney's post dance interviews on #Strictly
Always thanks the team, leaves it all out on the dancefloor, gives 110% in training. You can take the girl out of football, you can't take the football out of the girl.
PS no cynicism here, she seems genuinely lovely and is a cracking dancer

The previous owner *really* loved that car.

How come the garage looks to be in the best condition and have the most structural integrity?
December 14, 2025 at 9:13 AM
Serious reply, if you need quite a few stamps, stamp-dealers sell genuine stamps at under face value. This is my pal's business (I don't sell GB stamps). Don't buy the fake stuff off eBay

I realised this morning I had no idea what the model was actually called although I got it in two with a lucky guess, but failed miserably with the year.

The Mk1 Focus is such a good driving car.

Good last line. I hope the trip makes up for the flight.

Making scale models out of Lego ain't for everyone, Bruce!
December 10, 2025 at 5:24 PM
I was a late developer so much of my teenage time I was spent reading or trying to make accurate models of American trucks out of Lego or playing Scalextric with my brothers all while I listened to the radio. Don't recall ever thinking much about the murderous odd-bod with the wacky 'tache.
