Healthcare disparities result in minorities, rural citizens, and those of lower socioeconomic status being more likely to experience a stroke, to be less likely to receive hyperacute treatment, and to have increased rates of morbidity and mortality.

it was refreshing to be surrounded by people who will continue the fight to care for all people. And especially those dedicated to the continuing work on identifying and correcting healthcare disparities.

After the last month and the worrisome changes to our government’s participation in the WHO, the silencing if the NIH and CDC, and the lifting of protections for diversity and inclusion (among many other concerning changes).
