I put 'fight' in quotes more cause we don't know what a 'fight' would look like. I'm not totally convinced you have a ton of soldiers in the next war so much as you just have drones. You don't need to mobilize a massive army to fight. You just need a small team and some robots

I'd argue one fascinating difference is that there's much more apathy than in WW1 / WW2. People are much less willing to fight for their countries, excepting the few that border Russia and oppose them. Most of the nations you'd figure would 'fight' in a WW3 would welcome regime change at home
