*looser

When I exercise though, I do tend to want to eat better and not undo the benefits of a hard workout. Also, I do think it is helpful to prevent any loose skin or issues like that so the benefits are significant for me.

I've read the articles but it must depend on the person. I lose weight when I workout until I hit a specific point. The thing is the scale rarely shows weight loss while my clothes are much, much loser.

Shame. I can't wait to read your reactions to both games and especially 6 which is a guilty pleasure of mine when I need a good laugh.

You don't stream do you? I've been needing a rewatch of CVX and RE6.

My favourite part is all the chuds losing faith in Scamdrew *because* he was beaten down by a guy wearing pink gloves. They can't even fathom that a man who doesn't treat the colour pink like a vampire treats garlc is far more comfortable in their masculinity and sense of self.

Can you do a video on Andre Tate's kickboxing "career" too?

And sorry to prattle on, but to go back to your point about escapism, sports allow people to dream and hope, to see people like them actually be celebrated. It is unfair but this is the world we exist in.

Black and Brown men fit in with the idea that they are dumb brutes so of course, they can succeed in that sport. And realistically, a lot of these sports are low cost, high reward. You only need a little equipment and a lot of drive.
December 21, 2025 at 4:47 AM
It is not always about the pugilism. It can be one of a few avenues to success. I have far more issues with American football, but the reality is that Black and Brown people are not able to shine elsewhere. They are permitted to succeed there because of stereotypes.

First, no one paid for this. It was on Netflix and I can assure that no one subscribed just for Jake Paul. YT exists as well as highlights on social media. Had I been told I had to pay to see Jake's jaw broken though, I would have been the happiest willing victim.

Got it. OP means original poster who in this case was Gary Whitta which is why I wanted to clarify.

I agree with acknowledging the exploitation, but I feel the onus has to be on the exploiters and not the exploitees. We cannot ask people who are vulnerable and dehumanized to do that.
December 20, 2025 at 9:49 PM
To clarify, I was not responding to OP Gary Whitta. I was replying to Matteo S. I agree it is rife for exploitation, but realistically, do we actually expect people to starve until society sees fit to treat all people as people?
December 20, 2025 at 9:40 PM
I would too. Unfortunately, we don't live in that reality. Many Muay Thai fighters start around the ages of 6~8 because it is the only way to feed their families. They often do grow to enjoy it but I can't ignore that need. Even in the US, sports are the only way to succeed for many BIPOC people.
December 20, 2025 at 9:34 PM
While I am sure that some people do watch contact sports to see injuries, I believe most people watch because they appreciate the skills and tactics used in a fight, much like one would watching a chess match and so forth. Also, BIPOC people often only have sports as an avenue to success.

We allow a mediocre white man with absolutely no condition or skills to be on the same level as his much more qualified Black opponent. It is horrifying but for once, we were able to see the outcome of that undeserved arrogance.
December 20, 2025 at 9:30 PM
I understood his point. Ideally, we would moderate the impulses of our worst, but in our current world, our worst are rewarded for being loathsome. Paid to participate in a fight against an actual trained boxer and posit those two individuals of having the same skills.
December 20, 2025 at 9:28 PM
I agree that all MA have risks. That's why I find it personally distasteful when people take it to use those skills with the intent to hurt others. Even in an untrained street fight, a careless punch in the wrong place or time can mean death or permanent injury.
December 20, 2025 at 8:30 PM
I didn't think you or Nicky were combative. It's just sometimes giving a differing opinion on social media automatically makes people assume the intent is to be unpleasant. My response in this thread was sincere but I wanted to clarify my intentions to prevent any misunderstandings.
December 20, 2025 at 8:26 PM
And that's fine. I loathe American football. I'd sooner brush my teeth with a razor than watch a game. However, I can still appreciate the talent, drive and athleticism despite my own distaste for it.

I am replying sincerely and not wanting to be combative. It's just my opinion on boxing.
December 20, 2025 at 8:11 PM
Yes, there are boxers who rely more on brawn than brain, but they never last long. There will always be someone stronger who actually uses their head as more than just a punching bag. That said, I am grateful to Jake Paul for volunteering to play the punching bag role tonight.
December 20, 2025 at 10:28 AM
Thank you. I am all for criticizing sports, but this is more less a critique and more really downplaying the hard work of these athletes. For a lot of people it's just a bunch of dumb brutes punching each other when it requires a lot more skill and intellect.

Pass it around. Spread that holiday cheer.
