Your guess is as good as mine. I've never been a Hassan fan. I feel like she just follows Shaheen like a dutiful pet. I can make no sense of Shaheen's actions in this or pretty much any of her votes since spring.

Good! So did I.
November 10, 2025 at 7:51 PM
Would love to. Sadly, my Democratic senators are Shaheen and Hassan. 🤢

100% this. I'm in watchful waiting mode for the next few weeks. If this goes as recent history predicts it will, I'm tapping out on all of it. JVL's take on this is informed by his shingle's vax reaction I think.

@chrismurphyct.bsky.social, I have come to greatly respect you and your efforts to prevent our slide into autocracy. Whether Schumer lost control of his caucus or was complicit in this surrender, it is time for a change in senate leadership. Anything less is unacceptable. Please lead on this.

Largely because it was an imperfect case. They're siting for
Someone to tee up a shoe in.
November 10, 2025 at 5:00 PM
Seriously, @shaheen.senate.gov? You were a reasonably effective governor and senator through the years. But it's like Invasion of the Body Snatchers since spring. Maybe this is who you've always been? Either way, your legacy is that you're on the wrong side of history when it most mattered. Shame.

"...when the consequences of the shutdown became too painful to ignore." Wasn't too painful when poor people were faced with possible starvation. Just when people of means had their flights cancelled. Sorry. Not sorry.
November 10, 2025 at 2:31 PM
This is so wholly condescending. The American people have had a crash course in how the courts and Congress work over the past 10 years. They take us for fools.
November 10, 2025 at 1:11 PM
Every Democratic seantor who voted for this DOES know better.
November 10, 2025 at 1:06 PM
Small comfort, I know, but you are not alone. I was just saying to someone in another post that I am beside myself.
November 10, 2025 at 3:41 AM
As one of her constituents, I agree.
November 10, 2025 at 3:38 AM
This! (But no less despicable.)
November 10, 2025 at 3:37 AM
I am ashamed that she is my senator. I am beside myself.
November 10, 2025 at 3:32 AM
Our government hasn't been functional since 12:01 p.m. Jan. 20, 2025.
November 10, 2025 at 3:27 AM
I agree, and I thank you for capturing how I feel in a way that I have been unable to articulate: "At least MAGA stabs me to my face."
November 10, 2025 at 3:02 AM
Um...employment (DOGE DEI rampage fatality), food, healthcare (2026 premium 6X my 2025 premium). You?
November 10, 2025 at 2:10 AM
Indivisible writes: "Make no mistake: As some Senate Democrats consider surrender, Republicans are losing this fight." @indivisible.org, help me understand how Republicans are losing this fight? No snark intended. Real question. TACO? Me thinks DACO. What am I misunderstanding?
November 10, 2025 at 1:52 AM
There should be flash protests/sit-ins outside each of these senators' offices DC and local offices. Having a visible display of our disapproval feels important. Schumer also needs to go.
November 10, 2025 at 1:15 AM
Unless you're Jeanne Shaheen, who is retiring, and has turned into something unrecognizable in her complicity.
