The president must follow the Constitution. If he wants to push the boundaries, we’ll hold the line in court.

This is America. The U.S. military has no place in our streets.

Portland is peaceful. There is no reason to deploy National Guard here.

Here at the Oregon DOJ, we’re committed to fighting for working families every day. This roundtable was the first step in expanding our knowledge of best practices and increasing collaboration with others.

In states across the country, AGs are stepping in where federal enforcement has been rolled back — including the weakening of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission — and focusing resources on the issues that matter most to working families.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re a Republican or a Democrat — you should be worried when you hear the president say a judge should “work for him”. No judge should ever serve any politician. That’s not how the balance of powers works.

We got a second temporary restraining order last night, pausing the president’s attempts to deploy National Guard to Oregon. The president keeps trying to find workarounds.

We look forward to having a hearing on the merits of the case.
