Is base jumping dangerous? 10 yr Norway study showed 0.04% fatality.

Abdominal CT is 10mSv of radiation with 0.05% fatality risk, higher than jumping off a cliff.

Yet we think and are told the CT scan is very low risk and extremely safe.

Why?

Stay safe. #Medsky

Many people don’t realise the control rooms for diagnostic and interventional rooms are not completely shielded. We see 50x to 100x background levels, 2.5 to 5+ micro sieverts per hour during fluoro and DSA. Similar to flying at 33,000 ft.. don’t stay inside unnecessarily..

Fight between radiation physicists becomes public.

A lengthy and deeply researched rebuke of outspoken radiation hormesis and anti Linear No-Threshold physicist Professor Edward Calebrese was published today in the Health Physics Journal by one of its own reviewers and authors.

Stay safe.

RSNA study showed by looking at visceral fat, one could predict Alzheimer's risk up to 20 years before.

2022 study showed great results with Mediterranean diet, and addition of green tea and Wolffia globosa at reducing visceral fat.

Stay healthy, stay safe.

Antimony is a metal used in weapons, and renewable energy products.
We also use it in radiation protection products.
The cost of antimony has skyrocketed. Hospitals and people already don't want to spend money on radiation protection. It could get worse..

My fascination with molecular biology and medicine started with an embryology class, how we grow from a single fertilised egg cell into who we are as adults, 30 trillion cells.

That's an incredible number of cells working together together to do so much: Live love think..

When I’m in Japan I try to eat Natto for breakfast. Natto has been called a Japanese Superfood. The National Cancer Center has said eating it lowers mortality risk, suppresses brain inflammation and lowers blood sugar. It’s sticky and looks like it has cheese hanging from it when eating.
