And regarding the quick note on theaters, there are a couple of ways they do captions! They have caption glasses at some locations, and there are digital displays that sit in the cupholder. They are free to check out from the service desk, so feel free to give em a whirl next time you catch a movie!

Thank you for this and for the representation! My boyfriend has a cochlear implant, but still needs subtitles or captions to watch movies and shows. We knew that captions were no longer really possible, but thought it was a limitation of HDMI. We have a PS3, so now we know we have more options! <3
