LP Even though Im taking supplements, Im sure my doctors would get on me for being a workaholic that stays inside too much and only focuses best when it's dark out. Ive thought about a laptop to take work outside, but its likely Id just want to stay inside a cafe all day.

LP It's how I operate unfortunately. I have a month where I only play video games, a month where I binge a show while working on physical projects at the same time, a month where I only work on digital projects. I am incapable of splitting my focus without it leading to me WIPing projects forever

October always seems to be a busy month for me either due to voluntary or self-imposed month specific projects. I think it's a good thing but I sometimes get a little panicked that took on too much.

Its nice to have new video game brainworms, but it seems like a lot of that lately is tied to games with horrible things happening to young Japanese people 🤔

Finished Silent Hill F. In some ways I felt like F punched me in the gut psychologically and emotionally in the way that the movie Jacob's Ladder does. If you ignore the mechanical/performance problems the game has, this game is extremely Silent Hill in a way that considers its many iterations.

In some ways I miss the days of it feeling more niche and specific groups/sites for anime content but it's nice that more people watch it now. I do occasionally come across people who have weird hangups about it like they're from the 90s though

If someone has to play it "the other way", at this point I see no issue with it given how horrible the prices are on any copy that exists. I used to own it physically(and even then emulated it to get better visual quality), but I would not discourage anyone from discovering through other means

I can never see any good excuse to go back to twitter given the owner and majority atmosphere there. The fact that people were only motivated to leave over AI threatening art and not everything else going on makes it hard to take people seriously

Ive always heard that being given the quiet treatment by other Japanese students because you dont fit in can be the worst, especially when people are expected to get into similar interests (even something like being into the same anime series so Ive heard)

Kuon's combat isnt amazing, but I feel like its better than classic Silent Hill. Between 3 character stories you get different weapons and talismans that can cast magic and summons. I really think though, that if you play SHF and want something more classic in a similar vibe, please play Kuon.

Otherwise even up to now I love Silent Hill F but I needs be less like Nioh. If people want an example of a survival horror game taking place in Japan with monsters & set pieces like otherworld SHf, you should play Kuon. I think the atmosphere, build up of tension & enemy placement is good in that.

I think enemy placement, amount of enemies and revival, especially in the post-school other world labyrinth is a gripe of mine in SHf. The combat is fine (just need to be better). Its more I cant absorb the environment as much without frantically running or having an enemy up my butt while I do so
