Entrepreneur's Sandbox I was set to head back to Las Vegas before a meeting changed my trajectory for the week. I changed my flight... again, and prepared for Honolulu Tech Week 2025. I got into tech years after I had moved away from Hawaiʻi. I had no immediate plans to move back, so it hadn't occurred to me to make connections out there or stay up to date on the Hawaiʻi tech scene.

I Swear I Have the Relevant Experience
Nothing drives me crazier than when a job posting requires a degree for the type of experience THAT I SWEAR I HAVE. I had loose plans to return to school and earn an associate's degree. I never once thought that the program that I did at the Iron Yard was going to be it. I never once thought that the certificate of completion was enough for me.

I don’t know if folks know this but the guys playing in the 4 Nations Face-Off made the choice to be there. Also, if you don’t like the tournament, it’s real easy to turn off the tv or change the channel. That’s my pro tip for the day!
