This leads me to ask: Is a nipple a pore? If so, milk is an exudate in all cases. If not, milk is only an exudate for monotremes (platypuses and echidnas)!

As a fan of both Heinlein and Harry Harrison's Stainless Steel Rat series: if I had a ton of money to throw around, I'd commission someone to write that! (Not you, necessarily. If you don't want to write another Heinlein tribute, then don't.)

I just watched Elf for the first time a few days before Christmas (no idea how I avoided it this long) and very much same on that one. Was good to see once to understand references people make to it but it will not be going in my regular Christmastime rotation.
