Yesterday we welcomed Kirstie & Ben from Galerie 5b, who have played an integral role in supporting the critical reappraisal of Carole Gibbons' work, so it was great to discuss the lifelong, creatively supportive friendship between Gibbons and Gray.

Next in our timeline: No. 43 – 2001. Alasdair Gray became joint Creative Writing professor at Glasgow & Strathclyde with James Kelman & Tom Leonard. He left in 2003 over creative differences.

We had a wonderful tour today, including members of the Friends of Whitehill Secondary School, who generously gifted us Alasdair’s commemorative quaich - presented to him when he received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018!
