Adding 500 more armed troops from outside of DC only creates more targets on the backs of these volunteer soldiers & further normalizes this military occupation. The shooter was not from DC, but DC residents will be further oppressed for longer with the message Just Get Used to It. #FreeDC

DC has been under occupation for 109 days. The governors of WV, AL, LA, TN, etc can recall their guard at any time. To think that they’re just “wasting resources” demonstrates your lack of imagination about what their goals are.

It also seems that this shooting is precisely what NG were put here for: to create the conditions for a heavy & militarized federal occupation of DC & other places. This deployment has never been pointless. It has multiple purposes & if you don’t realize that, you haven’t been paying attention.

They have been getting us to normalize their presence, which has been incredibly effective. Now people in DC are thanking their occupiers.
