Back in 2022, I was on a crusade (like the Children's or Peasant's) to try to convince my US senator that the Federal Reserve had catalyzed the rapid increase in housing prices unnecessarily. Mortgage Backed Securities were loaded on the balance sheet for no rational reason.

USS Gettysburg very near to the Venezuelan coast.

Is this the same or is this the Gettysburg?

This was an interesting call from South Carolina. The caller was able to say, with fluency: ACA bad, Joe Biden Bad, Disagree with anyone who says Trump bad. But, the substance was lacking. This is illustrative of an attempt at explaining this administrations machinations. #politics #trump #GOP

Rachel from Houston (Republican line) shows a rational take on the reality of insurance premiums, and is not afraid to critique her party. This is somewhat refreshing.

Host: Viewers suggest Congress get fined during this shutdown who are on recess during a shutdown, what is your response?

Harrigan: * Answers completely different question and repeats himself *

Harrigan: It's clearly the democrats fault for the shutdown.
Also Harrigan: It's not about who is responsible!

Caller from Florida describes her hate of ACA subsidies, and of the very specific "soft power" programs that the US engaged in.

Poor Greta tries to move on to the next caller without skipping a beat at the very end of the clip.

@thereccelizard.bsky.social What's going on here?

It flew right over the front lines and then the transponder turned off?
September 14, 2025 at 12:15 AM
Transponder off RA-64516
September 14, 2025 at 12:04 AM
Still going...
September 13, 2025 at 11:57 PM
This is odd.
RA-64516 or is it RA-64518?

Not sure civilian flights traverse the front lines of an active war zone.
September 13, 2025 at 11:52 PM
Something like this?

@garrykasparov.bsky.social provides some insight on this difficult comparison.

I have no idea how this plays out positively. But, ok.

The oligarchy is alive and well.
If you aren't familiar with the tragedy of Aaron Swartz, have a look.
