Mogot Experimental Watershed:

Located in eastern Siberia, the Mogot Experimental Watershed is over 90% forested, primarily with larch forest
(Larix cajanderii). Its soils are covered with 10-15 cm of moss.

Located in western Ethiopia, the Blue Nile is the largest tributary to the Nile River, supplying over 85% of its water!

Located in northwestern California, the Eel River is a major river, at 196 miles long. It has a Mediterranean climate with vast differences in flows between the wet and dry season.

Located in the Tuscan Apennines, Central Italy, Re Della Pietra is a mountainous 2 km^2 catchment with a Mediterranean climate. The catchment area is predominantly covered by forests (>95%), primarily beech and conifers.

Located in Tawhai Forest, New Zealand, the Maimai catchment is made up of 8 small (1.63 to 8.26 hectare) experimental watersheds first gauged in 1974 to investigate the effects of forest plantations on hydrology.
