Reminded me of this clip from Spiders video. Probably an extreme example. They are like actors, but with a meaningless role even if you give them more speed or reduce the telegraph from attacks, that increase of "agressiveness" still doesn't connect with the player mechanics

Oh yea specially the anniversary games. I meant accessible in a way to try them outside emulation and the buggy stuff we got, maybe in a jstris or tetrio way at least

What do you mean this is enough?

Jokes aside, Champions was the last decent game, I found Tetris 2 to be worse than the first, and Puzzle pop is an Apple arcade exclusive. It doesn't seem very prolific in Sega's eyes 😔
Wish it were as accessible as Tetris

To think tons of games can be more toaster friendly if given at least slightly more attention.

There are moments in Puyo where I just stare at the next pieces, and the table with peripheral vision or vise versa, can't live without a small board.

I need more Puyo in my life :(

more modern ideas enhance the action. Blocks, parries, and dodges make it easier to stay on your feet than in the old classics, for example, launchers and timing windows allow you to string together combos and juggle without hours of practice. It's all the joy of the arcade without the frustration.

In the vein of developer Tribute Games' last game, TNMT:SR, this is an unabashedly old school side-scroller. Bad guys appear, you punch them until they're all gone, then you move a bit further right and more bad guys appear. Repeat until you reach a boss fight. Simple, nostalgic, satisfying.
