I feel like you could do an entire thread on famous influences, like Zappa, who were only 1 hit wonders, but who are widely cited by others who have stacks of hits. Geldof only had Mondays with Boomtown Rays, but assembled the biggest charity song (ever?) Roxy Music had 2? But Ferry is cited widely.

Point 3 is a real problem. The shittingup of the internet with garbage means we'll never see "AI" be able to support undeniable facts. It'll always hedge on anything from 2+2 thru to the round earth, and history from LLMs is fabulism end to end.

Worse, asking another LLM to verify the facts produces equal crap, confirming wrong things by finding the same sources, and refuting good facts by finding new bad sources.

I have. I find the ideological purity test to be a very real thing. Its full of sopistries about how we can all always be better and be more educated and so on. It's a great way for "activists" to feel important while not risking anything.
