Another thing that helps is Iroha is Kaguya’s MPDG too. Kaguya had a very similar repetitive life beforehand, Iroha’s presence broke up. Kaguya was ultimately going accept the first ending and it was Iroha fighting for a different one that made Kaguya join in too.
i mean full stop making it a wlw dynamic really does just wholly make it better since the main issue with MPDG stories is the weird gender roles assigned to women having to come in and "fix" a man's depression and ennui

Although I think Cosmic Princess Kaguya 's ending is definitive and satisfying, I wouldn't mind an Anthology (à la Lycoris Recoil) SOL stories after the events of the movie. I just wanna see everyone again 🙃
