An idea I've had would be removing the Justice and Treasury Departments from the executive, with Treasury controlled by the House and the Judiciary run by an independently elected (in the midterms) Attorney General.

I've never thought of it as a policy to increase fertility. It's a policy to allow more families to stay in cities.

That isn't anything like what Kirk did. He was an attention seeking provocateur, not a face to face pitchman. Aside from that, doorstep canvassing has been commonplace in all sides of American politics (especially local elections) for decades. If anything its gotten less common in the online era.

Even once you have those communities, you're still going to have drivers and they still need to learn the skill. So I'm not sure how acknowledging that represents a policy failure.

Its funny because just glancing at the excerpt, I noticed for the first time that the passage has no long words. Going through word by word, there are only two with four syllables, "unrequited" and "altogether." It's simple, but not simplistic. A good lesson for democratic politicians of any era.

Whatever his good traits, Nichols is a "just move somewhere else if you can't afford it" NIMBY. So we should expect his understanding of post white flight urban issues to be somewhere on the kindergarten level. Perhaps he should learn to listen to the experts.

I have pieces like that, but it's tough to find something lightweight that's broad enough for my shoulders and chest (which I want to show off) and long enough for my belly (which I want to minimize) without it looking baggy and shapeless.
