The DEI EO applied to existing federal employees who worked in DEI. It’s unrelated to the hiring freeze and to the job offer rescissions. Im an attorney and just clarifying why things are happening. I’m not trying to argue with you. You have every reason to be angry.

The hiring freeze resulted in all existing offers being rescinded even if the person had a start date, so long as that start date was after February 8. Again so sorry to your friends. It’s heartbreaking and completely unfair.

Everything that is happening is disheartening, but the rescissions are because of the hiring freeze not DEI- it applied to anyone with a start date before Feb 9. My hubs had to pull back offers too. So sorry to your friends ❤️
