ICE arrests at USCIS interviews are nothing new, but they have previously only been for deportable past criminal and/or immigration history.

An arrest at a citizenship interview on the basis of nothing more than First Amendment protected speech and association brings us to a new level of alarm

Eric Holder was on fire tonight

He told the legal profession - specifically the white shoe firms - that their moment was NOW

Step up NOW to defend the targets of the Trump administration

or

surrender the premise that they are defenders of the rule of law

My detained client was scheduled for a bond hearing this AM in a MA immigration court. He wasn't brought in, and he and his case have disappeared.

I then received this notice of activity on a nonexistent docket in which his name was changed to "N/A"

It's all happening a lot faster than I expected

Weeks ago, I had a sort of Machiavellian vision that there would be a brawl between the judiciary and the executive. I thought, naively, that this vision would never truly actualize.

The American judiciary has a duty to become morally responsible and take up arms against the attacks on our laws.

For the second time in as many weeks, someone with no criminal history has been locked up by ICE and is now facing deportation based on nothing more than a letter signed by Marco Rubio saying that he presents "potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences for the United States"
SCOOP: Hooded ICE agents snatched Indian-born Georgetown postdoc Badar Suri from Rosslyn street Monday, per court filing. Like Khalil, linked to pro-Palestinian views & Rubio 'foreign policy' power, lawyer says. Then whisked to Louisiana. w/ @kyledcheney www.politico.com/news/2025/03...

The idea of states entering into a constitutional convention should be chilling for all Americans.

I really urge all to read into what it takes for states to initiate the process and the catastrophic ramifications that could result from it.

But in Trump’s economy, working families are nostalgic for stable grocery and rent prices.

After many years of dealing with ICE I am not particularly surprised by anything that I have read about how Mahmoud Khalil's case has been handled so far. It's pretty much exactly what Trump promised to start doing to protesters--and after 9/11 Congress gave him extremely broad power to do it

Precedent, apparently, is a selective concept when it comes to Palestinians.

The High Contracting Parties of the UN just completely kicked dust in the face of International law by refusing to come to agreement on upholding the Fourth Geneva Convention in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
