TBF that was a bad decision, two hours isn't *that* long, they hopefully would've gotten to me eventually... but I had no confidence about that.
I do think it's a reasonable ask that this sort of thing shouldn't happen

Years ago, I got a cut on my chin that needed gluing. Went to the ER, low priority of course. After two hours with no progress, I lost patience, went home, let it heal with a scar, and grew a beard.

What you want is for the system to have enough capacity that even the low priority patients do get treated in reasonable time. Not keep waiting indefinitely as more high priority patients keep coming in
