It was an ugly 2nd half but today was all about winning nd closing the gap to Forest to 3pts. It was a brilliant 1st half, in game management needs to improve moving forward. If we can pick up a win at West Ham sets us up for April, 4 home games 2 away (1 at Leicester) can get us to CL #nufc

Great to Botman back, still think this will b a hard game. Their pace with Johnson/Werner/Kulusevski could b a problem but like the game against ManU our midfield looks like it'll dominate nd think that's where it'll b won. #nufc

The change of Tonali nd Bruno's position has brought so much more balance across the team. Just having Gordon from the left, rather than choppin nd changin every 25mins has increased goal threat. Also Murphy form has brought goals across the full front line. In a great position at midway point #nufc

We had a big three games after Brentford that could define our season, we've achieved in all nd are getting dangerously close to consistency. A win against Villa nd a top 5 finish could b on the cards #nufc

Absolutely brilliant tonight, from Bruno winning the toss the night was great. Attitude there nd it felt like an newcastle of old. Deserved to win but so happy to see the performance back #nufc

It's hard not to think theres a major issue in our attack when we've had zero shots on target against the team 2nd bottom nd we failed to lay a glove on West Ham who've gone on to concede 5 at home in 45mins. Change of shape needed, the 433 just doesn't work against teams in the bottom half #nufc

Thought Tonali looked a cut above all of our midfield. Burn (should b captain)excellent also.We look a bit clueless in attack, still think Howe doesn't quite know how to utilise the players. It's the usual we can't beat a bottom half side, becoming infuriating #nufc

Will be interesting to see how Howe sets up this midfield. When used before it's looked rudderless and less than the sum of its parts but we need to find a way where Bruno and Tonali can both play. #nufc

Games like last night are just the reality of where we are, we'll beat better sides as hav good capability within the team but haven't got any consistency to match #nufc

We need to figure out that the right team/setup against an top side, where we play on the counter may not b the same as teams that come to play a low block nd we'll hav the majority of the ball. #nufc

Personally I'd swap Longstaff out for Tonali as think they'll now sit deeper nd need creativity #nufc

If we can start with high energy nd get an early goal against West Ham tonight we could get 4 or 5. Their confidence must be on the floor nd if we can pressure them early hopefully they'll just capitulate. #nufc

Hope the worflags display nd the 1st game in what feels about 2years really drives the atmosphere at SJP. The crowd is always better when we feel we have to play a part to get a result nd often a bit dead when everyone is expecting a 4 or 5 nil rout. #nufc

This would b a good bit of business if we could get at the right price, region of 35-40mil. But it needs sorted in the first week of January, 1 offer - take it or leave it response needed in 2 days. Allows other targets to b pursued.
