Invincible season 3 has been off to a pretty strong start. After I finished s2, I binge read the entire comic in 2 days, so I’m not going into this one blind, which I thought would hinder my enjoyment, but luckily it really hasn’t!

New Spider-Man show has been surprisingly good. I had the lowest of expectations for it, so the fact I’m enjoying it so much has come as a shock. Has the potential to be an all-time great if the quality remains this strong!

Read All-Star Superman for the first time. I think it’s slightly overrated. It’s a good story, does plenty of interesting things with the character, but it’s not the masterpiece some make it out to be. A solid 7/10 comic.

The newest issue of Zdarsky's Batman run was... fine? Russian Court of Owls is a silly concept. I'm glad we have only one issue left till this run is over. Can't believe I'm saying this, but I am actually excited for Hush's return.

Really enjoying DC's Absolute line so far. Both Superman and Wonder Woman have been interesting takes on the characters. Batman has been good too, but its not done anything super unique with the Bruce Wayne not being a billionaire thing yet. Regardless, excited to see where they all go from here.

The other day I binged both seasons of My Adventures With Superman, and it was awesome. I love the chemistry between Clark and Lois, especially in season one. The characters are all awesome, and I really like this take on Jimmy Olsen. It has some cool unique takes on some DC villains too.

So I wanted to take a little time to rant about modern Batman comics. Batman is my favourite comic book character. Scott Snyder's Batman run was my entry-way into comic books, and since then I have dived into many facets of the character, but I have a few problems with everything Batman post-New 52.

Watched Superman 1978 for the first time, and I have to say, it really holds up for a film pushing 50 years old soon. Christopher Reeve is excellent as both Clark and Superman, perfectly embodying both aspects of the character. Hope Gunn's new movie can come close to this level of excellence!

Really missing Dan Mora on World’s Finest rn. Waid’s writing remains excellent, but these recent issues haven’t been the same for me without him. Glad he’s doing Justice League Unlimited with Waid rn tho!

Just seen the news that Jason Momoa has been cast as Lobo in Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow! Super happy to see this, as I know that it’s the guy’s dream role. I think he’s gonna kill it, and I am super hyped to see what DC Studios has been cooking on both Superman and this movie in the near future!

The latest season of Doctor Who has been on my mind again recently, after the Christmas special. First of all, Ncuti is killing it in the role rn, and I love him as the Doctor but whilst I enjoyed a lot of the episodes on their own, but didn’t love the season as a sum of its parts.

Been on a Superman kick recently after the trailer for James Gunn’s movie. I started with Birthright and Secret Origin, and honestly, these 2 are both masterpieces in the realm of superhero origin comics. Both Mark Waid and Geoff Johns write awesome takes on the Man of Steel. Highly recommend both!
