Is it the new “go-to” card for local LLMs? Maybe not immediately, but the specs (and price) suggest it could dethrone the 3090 for many users, especially those seeking better future-proofing and warranty coverage.

If FP4 and FP8 support works as claimed, expect major performance boosts and easier model deployment. This is a promising leap for those who build and run custom local models.

Same TDP as the 3090, but with new features like FP4 formats and more efficient energy use. Imagine setups with four of these and close to 100 GB total VRAM without massive power draw.
