Amazing, amazing cyberpunk book, stop everything and read it now! Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2024 Format: Kindle Alright, where to start! The formatting is going to be slightly jarring at first, as my brain tried to nitpick exactly when a new paragraph would have theoretically started but within about three pages , my brain got used to it and didn't even bother me anymore. The dialog is written a little bit different, but it's consistent and easy to follow, kind of like computer code a little bit. But I found myself liking it more than authors that try to shoehorn in dialog context for the sake of dialog context. It's also very fitting for the type of story and character the POV is from. The story is absolutely great for a cyberpunk book. I won't spoil any of it, but I've been reading cyberpunk my whole life and this was like a big comfy blanket. It made me want to open my entire catalogue of Shadowrun novels and re-read it all. It had cybered up street samurai, and hackers galore. And seedy pubs and shops to buy cyberware goodies at. It had everything. I binged the last half of the book as fast as I could, and would have happily read 10 more after this. It was that good. Easily some of the best cyberpunk I've ever read, by far. Nails everything perfectly. I don't want to go into details cuz it'd spoil, but every point is nailed perfectly. Highly recommend.

Some cats will not drink where they eat. This is a relic behavior from when they were wild and a dead animal near the water hole meant bad water. Lucy is one of them and because we live tiny, her water hole is in the nook between the washing machine and the wall. She drinks while guarding it. Sweet❤️

The Boy from Beyond is the classic fantasy tale that we never tire of—our young hero, who is pulled from one world to save another. Here our hero is gay and for that his world offered cruelty & neglected. But his pure heart transcended worlds (with the help of a dragon!) and now it falls on him to save the kingdom. But first he must be found and that is the book’s focus and where the tale begins.
