He is VERY CLEARLY able to move to the side of the vehicle and CONTINUE firing. He was never in danger. In fact, she was probably already dead when the fucking truck accelerated. I get that you're just a bootlicker, but one day the boot is going to be too far down your goddamn throat to lick.

Hey, Wired, I don't know that I expected that you would become like - honestly - the paragon of fucking media resistance to authoritarianism. But just...fuck...THANK YOU. I'm so glad you're still here and doing this work when so many other outlets have hedged or caved to the pressure and fear.

There shouldn't be any more unarmed liberals.

It won't work this time. He crossed in front of the vehicle, was clearly in no immediate danger, and she was turning away from the agents. She didn't accelerate toward him. He very clearly is able to just move to the side of the vehicle and CONTINUE firing. He murdered her.

We're not going to fight CSAM by creating CSAM of totally innocent children.

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST, what is wrong with you?

What I DO know is that the effects of that fundamental drive to hoard and the impact of continual de-regulation has resulted in a system that doesn't benefit the majority of humans and, in fact, has done pretty tremendous harm to society, culture, and the world along the way.
January 6, 2026 at 2:53 PM
that doesn't somehow change the fundamental force that drives capitalism....which is the desire to hoard a resource by capital capture. Though really the core desire is just to hoard capital. So maybe regulation IS enough to control and manage the dangers inherent to capitalism.
January 6, 2026 at 2:51 PM
I don't know that it needs to be...replaced. Capitalism may, in fact, be the most fundamentally sound economic system ever devised. We don't really know, do we? Because it's been the basic standard system of global enterprise across the greatest era of advancement in human history.

BUT...
January 6, 2026 at 2:50 PM
This is true! And I'm not just vibes-ing...and you're not wrong. There are many countries which do an infinitely better job regulating capitalism. That doesn't somehow alter the fact that it's fundamentally a system catalyzed and driven by the desire to hoard...capital.
January 6, 2026 at 2:43 PM
But if someone can make a billion dollars by simply iterating on a theme (like, shit, I don't know...think of every goddamn variety of cereal available)...they will. Innovation isn't fundamental to capitalism in any way. Truly innovative services or goods are just an occasional byproduct.
January 6, 2026 at 2:17 PM
of capitalism has always been to acquire as much of a given resource (in this case...capital) as possible. The DRIVING IMPETUS of the system is to hoard a resource...it's greed BY ITS NATURE. Innovation isn't the *goal* of capitalism. Innovation is the *idealistic catalyst* of capitalism.
January 6, 2026 at 2:16 PM
Of course greed is present in every other economic system. Resource acquisitions is the fundamental driving force of humanity, right? But capitalism isn't just "capital allocation." It's the DESIRE for capital itself -- strictly that. I'm not commenting on any specific political dynamic. The goal
January 6, 2026 at 2:15 PM
The driving force of capitalism IS greed. It's LITERALLY the only true incentive. Folks might lie about their desire to be altruistic or philanthropic as end goals, but in order to achieve THOSE goals...greed MUST come first. And because of that corruption MUST follow.

Stop. The sentiment is understood, but there IS significance in this. It matters that a Muslim would openly defend Jewish people, and it matters that the media covers it as such. This strays perilously close to "all lives matter." -- they do, but THAT isn't the point HERE.

...how do you even attempt to have a productive dialogue with someone who genuinely believes something like the idea that dogs are out here making rational, thoughtful, ethical decisions about whether or not to maul someone's ass?

with the same disdain. She literally said, "Unpopular take incoming, but those dogs are ACAB too." And there were people on the thread actively advocating for pre-emptive violence against K-9 units because they were accomplices to the oppression of the state.
November 21, 2025 at 4:32 PM
I'm definitively far left. I identify strongly as a socialist. I recently had an argument with another leftist about the fact that police K-9 units are not "complicit" in the oppression of the state. Because, you know, dogs can't be moral actors. They were adamant that police dogs also deserved

suspect it serves some deep purpose for those folks? For whatever reason. Generally, I think AI is a pseudo-remedy for most things people articulate a use case for. But I DO think it may have some potential in instances like this as a kind of surrogate. I don't know. It's...creepy, though?
