I would like to submit this superior piece of space technology.
The “Thunder Road”, from the 1985 movie Explorers. It’s a “space ship” cobbled together from junk consisting of a Tilt-a-whirl, a trash can, a few tires, a washing machine door, a console CRT tv front, an old trunk and other assorted garbage. There are lights on top of it, and non-functional fins to make it look more like a space ship. It was clearly built by children.
