Last bit for now (it’s a work in progress) is to welcome @morgsedu.bsky.social to our trust conference day after half term to build on Jade’s work in the context of task design as part of our wider curriculum work with @pkckst.bsky.social

Each element will include a presentation, notes, links to preparatory and further reading and a one pager inspired by the brilliant work of various colleagues in the sector. Thanks on this one go to Michael Chiles and @dylanwiliam.bsky.social

At the same time a group of our T&L leads are working on developing a bank of bespoke CPD sessions which teachers can tap into as and when they are needed.

Then @mrspearce.bsky.social began a series of short sessions with the wider trust looking at different aspects of our framework.

Next we needed an expert and everyone had had enough of hearing from me ( maybe ) so we invited the totally brilliant @mrspearce.bsky.social to work with our headteachers, explain why this work was important and the evidence behind our thinking.

We developed a set of guiding principles for PD in our trust. Not rocket science but a shared understanding 🚀
February 14, 2025 at 11:24 PM
Next we thought carefully about how we could develop this and provide CPD around our shared language which was impactful and made the very best use of teacher time. Big thanks to the work of the EEF, @drsamsims.bsky.social and the @ioe.bsky.social
team for their clever research!

After a lot of reading and research, we turned our post-it notes into a framework of principles outlining what we think great teaching looks like in our trust.
February 14, 2025 at 11:24 PM
We then dug into research and current thinking around the different elements of effective teaching - with massive thanks to @collegeofteaching.bsky.social @teacherhead.bsky.social @pepsmccrea.bsky.social @innerdrive.bsky.social

We categorised our ideas into ‘flourishing classrooms’ and ‘flourishing learners’ inspired by the work of @andywolfe.bsky.social and his team.
February 14, 2025 at 11:24 PM
We started with a group of colleagues interested in evidence informed T&L, getting together to think deeply about what makes great teaching.
