Eutrope is the real main character or Arcadion. I'm glad she survived the story at all considering how the previous *4S character died and was never spoken of again but she's the main force moving the plot at all times, only to get a lackluster epilogue.

When Ascian involvement was first revealed, I figured Calyx was going to be used and discarded because his idea of survival clashes with the Ascians', but she seems to at least make an effort to be pleasant to work with (which is more than can be said of him).
