I know this has been and is currently causing you a lot of pain, and I hope that it gets better for you however you need to address it. I love you and I want you to be happy and fulfilled and I know that’s hard as hell but I do believe it’s possible.

Unfortunately we do not and will not ever live in an America where the majority of people mask. It became too politicized. But that doesn’t mean masking is universally met with hate and distrust or that there’s nothing you can go out and do with a mask. Especially in the greater area we live in.

Again, I understand your real concerns, but I’m also seeing a lot of fear here that I don’t think is really reflective of the actual risks, and it makes me sad to see you cut yourself off over things that might never happen, or that are not as reflective of the outside world here as you think.

And vaccines can reduce the symptoms and duration if you are exposed. I haven’t had Covid since the 1 time in 2021, despite my roommates bringing it home at least one other time. A combo of masking, air purifiers, and the vaccine has served me very well. And sure YMMV but also it might not…

Moreover, you seem to be certain that going out with or without a mask WILL result in your catching Covid, which WILL result in you being permanently disabled or dying, when masks and being vaccinated can keep you from contracting the illness even if you are exposed.

You seem very certain that your masking will be met with hostility and you will be ostracized for it, when I know people who still mask and are very social. Not me, but I wasn’t terribly social to begin with, lol.

I’m not dismissing your real concerns, but I also think you have anxieties about things that haven’t happened & may not happen. While there are a few people here that side-eye masks, the overwhelming majority honestly do not care if you choose to mask or not, & more than a few still mask themselves

Thanks! I’ve been wanting to get into linen, as I’ve only used Aida cloth, but I’ve been kind of intimidated by it. But this has a visible enough grid that I think I’d be okay giving it a shot <3
