I should take part in #RandomGameSaturday more so here’s the game I just got in the mail, the Other Namco Launch PS2 Racer, MotoGP.
Technically the later games are better because they have way more content but this is closer to a port of 500GP from the arcades, and that makes it the coolest.

It runs well! I'll note that I didn't see extensive options for things like lighting and global illumination. There were only options for dynamic and screen-space reflections. You'd obviously have a better sense of what is going on under the hood, but I think the result looks great.

Gigo 3 let me play a ton of racing games for the first time, including Dirt Dash and Thrill Drive. Some went better than others but I could have spent four times as long here. Cameo by @kylempatrick.bsky.social on Scud Race there.

I’m still sad about how I planned to go to this one spot in Tokyo since the moment I knew I was going to Tokyo and they were closed but on the plus side my flight home was so delayed that it’s half full and I now have an entire row to myself

It’s wild to me that oftentimes the biggest circulators of literal trash are syndicators like MSN. They’re arguably worse than social media because there’s no comment section to call this shit out, and people ascribe authority to it because it seems like it’s vetted by a legit, trusted site.
