Announcing my debut novel DEFINED BY DAMNATION
A character-driven fantasy novel following a variety of characters as they seek to prevent the return of the Ashen King, a villain who heralds only darkness and flame.

Features the cover art of the novel Defined by Damnation. Pictured is a blonde woman in a black dress, with a jeweled necklace around her neck. She is turning away from an erupting volcano, revealed behind a painting with a tattered canvas.

This is kind of heartbreaking, but at least he's not fully lost. The article doesn't clarify who it was that originally said this, but Miller's willingness to quote them shows that he's really just considering ai's potential and not a brain-dead worshipper of it like the title suggests.

Paris Paloma's 'The Rider' was the entire catalyst for Léonora's character and storyline.

I guess that's what takes it from being a hobby to a business/career.

At the very least it's easier than doing the same with filmmaking

One Battle After Another really lived up to its name, DiCaprio wasn't lying in all those interviews

The latest news regarding my degrading computer is that it now randomly decides to make the UI either too big or too small...

I am praying that it at least allows me to publish Defined by Damnation before it decides to melt into oblivion and I need to find the funds for a new one.

#SFF Day 3
I just wrapped on the shoot of a short film yesterday. Everybody who worked on it was genuinely incredible and I've never felt more honoured to be a part of something.

#SFFChat Day 2
If I'm remembering correctly, I believe the first costume I ever wore was either a magician or an archaeologist. The magician one was just a cape and hat that we stuck gold stars on, but I remember really liking it.

#SFFChat Day 1
Hello!
I'm AJ Anderson and I've been working on my debut for the last few months. I love writing and filmmaking, and have been doing both since I first had pen, paper, and a camera
I tend to overextend myself, with multiple stories in the works at once, but that's just more fun.

It's difficult to construct a whole world from nothing, but it gets easier if you strip it down to just being a number of stories that happen within the same boundaries.

The way Lokey dissects Dark Souls' lore (alongside The Silmarillion) very much inspired the way I will write out my own lore when worldbuilding. Writing lore in such a way that analyses itself has helped me to make history that isn't just dressing, but actually has some level of thematic relevance.
tuneandfairweather.bsky.social
Lokey's Abyssal Archive is the most exhaustive analysis of Dark Souls lore ever put to paper. Illustrations by @blocillustration.bsky.social.

Had them reply to one of my posts. Thought it was weird their profile picture was just a screenshot from Google and not the original image, and this publicist claim just further ruined their attempts at validity.
Unfortunately, there's a lot of odd spam accounts as far as book/writesky goes
ajandersonauthor.com
I'd be happy to look into this publicist if you give me their name or business, might not be what I'm looking for right now, but they could be useful in the future.

Going to say Nov 25th and cross my fingers, but Dec feels like a real possibility.
ajandersonauthor.com
I haven't even set a 100% solid release date, and I'm still considering delaying. I want this thing out, but I also want it to be as good as possible and have everything done well before it actually launches, so I have plenty of time to double check everything.

Well the one I'm most excited to write isn't what I'll do first. Once I'm finished with the series I'm currently on, I'd like to work on a few standalone releases, just to play around with some other ideas, before getting onto another series I've been piecing together for a few years now.
ajandersonauthor.com
I don't think so honestly. I have enough plans for novels I do want to write that if I did write about this other world it wouldn't be until after I've finished the campaigns.

Oedon is a very fun character to write, albeit a touch melodramatic.

For what is a very minor character, I sure have had a few previews that have included 'Greydeath.'
