He's still alive today but sadly hollowed out by dementia. Illustrator son Michael will put a Crayola marker in his hand and some days, if the mood takes him he'll produce loopy but still skillful drawings.

HUGE Emberley fan, the Taschen-sized monograph from his touring career retrospective exhibition is well worth tracking down.
Beyond the drawing books and Caldecott winner "Drummer Hoff" a lot of his work is obscure today, and it's interesting to see how wide-ranging & experimental he was.

I enjoyed #1 but the formula feels played out. Blanc isn't a character any more, just an accent wrapped in a series of cravats. #3 had some good performances (O'Connor, Close) and sometimes thoughtful writing, but I found myself not caring about the proceedings. Please, no more.

Of course they will!

Alito and Thomas will be replaced by fresher faces then - either by 30 year old Fed Soc drones adept at twisting the law into pretzels, or by mouth-breathing Trump courtiers who won't even bother with explaining their motives.

They'll all aim to handcuff a Dem President.

Really? It's interesting given that "It Was The Dog That Died" plays like a total send up of le Carré's work.

Not "To Serve Man", Rio! NOOOOOOO

The film is disagreeably (for me) marbled with rich veins of chest-thumping nationalism. But credit to the poster, which not only communicates this effectively, but is beautifully composed.
