There’s still room here for a pro-democracy coalition as evidenced by recent opposition victories in Poland & France. But starting in 2026 and culminating in 2028, it’s time Dems stopped talking down to people & telling them what they NEED and instead started telling them what they can ACHIEVE. /end

Trump empowered people with a magic fix—vote for him, get rid of illegal immigrants, and everything will improve. It was his biggest con and it worked because people wanted change, but it’s not sustainable. When Trump oversteps with tax cuts for the rich, people will seek another path to real change

What Dems have to do is take back the idea of success so that ordinary people can achieve it in their own way. Fair or not, people attribute a job promotion to their own ability and high prices to the government. The people have to feel empowered.

High prices aren’t just an inconvenience; they make people afraid they’re not going to make it—whatever that means to them. For all of his incredibly dangerous flaws, Trump embodies the American Dream. It’s why so many voted for a billionaire and his “first buddy,” the richest man in the world.

The underlying center-left/center-right coalition should be focused on the American Dream. It’s not about handouts or socialism, which, if framed that way, spooks middle America. It’s about aspiration and giving the working class a positive vision of what they can achieve if they put in the work.

The short version is, we cannot be hung up on labels like “progressive” or “moderate.” The ideal party/candidate will blend ideas, but MUST have a cohesive branding wrapper. This means Sanders-style economic populism targeting billionaires & corporate interests, but paired with rewarding hard work.
