Honestly - I live in central London (well Camden anyway) and - surprise - I am less than 15 minutes from everything. Shops, doctors, hospital, library, public transport, parks. I never take he car into the middle of London. There’s no point.

If you know where anything is and indeed can remember where you read it in the first place

I honestly dont understand the need to keep books. I do as well but have also given hundreds away. Found fiction harder than non fiction

Sounds more complicated than my Christmas cooking. 9 people including one @15months. Two vegetarians. One of those can’t eat aubergine, toms, peppers basically the nightshade intolerances. Two are 3 and 6 and eat turkey and sausage but no veg. One adult lactose intolerant. I just don’t like sprouts

There are virtually no Anglican cathedrals. The majority were built as catholic cathedrals and were taken over by Henry 8 in his ludicrous search for an heir

I’m so tired of the endless misogyny about Reeves. It’s impossible for any of us to know what is actually going on when all this overt (and a lot of covert) crap is going on

Working as a lawyer for a local council being asked if I could do anything about a pothole/litter/whatever they were cross about. Alternatively being asked about some random bit of law. I was a lawyer not an encyclopaedia

Train companies do little if anything to deserve our moral support. So I would claim. I last claimed for a cancelled train but managed to get back only an hour late. morally should have claimed only for an hour delay but got whole fare repaid cos why did I have to faff about finding new connections

Seriously? I have never made risotto with only 20 minutes of stirring. 4 seems to be a minimum
