BTW just to be clear here i was asking this rhetorically ... I knew this to be the case ... I was trying to highlight the fallacy of it all from the get go that everyone who is an i e trump supporter immediatly blows right by...the agent murdered this woman and should held to full account

I get the dhs is claiming his life was in danger in that he was in front of the car...but is this possibly a tactic now ... placement in front of a vehicle to create the conditions for a justified shooting? DOJ has specific guidance about not being in front of a vehicle...dhs policy is vague

One thing I keep returning to and asking myself - do ice agents have the authority to intervene in what appears initially to be a traffic violation (auto parked and impeding traffic flow on a city street)? Do they have the enforcement powers to open that person's car door and physically detain them?

That is exactly what I have been saying...maybe if he is that freaked out and jumpy around cars he should be on street patrol with a damn gun on his hip...maybe he should have been sent for a psych evaluation? I dunno just spitballing here...

I saw the video just now (drudge) ... no ice agent lives were in danger. They made it sound like she had an ice agent pinned or about to be run over...just not the case...unbelievable

Ok I think you meant to say "out of power" - so my question remains what's your proposal for getting them out of power? And as far as mtg and 47 you and I are in agreement but I guess I took that for granted...didn't know we had to state that.out loud.

Seriously I did not read jvl or the nyt pieces as "puff pieces" ... and so this gets back to my original point that I can't see how our current form of govt survives this info environment where no one can get on the same page reliably. This conversation is exhibit A for that.

Reading the replies to this makes me think our form of democracy is truly doomed. the internet has unleashed the ability for every person in this country to have thier unconfirmed biases re-enforced 1000-fold. Both right and left. God this sucks.
