It’s been a brief time away from the city but today I return. To be honest, I’ll be glad to be home. Time to pick up my pen and start afresh

I seem to have been in a hole for the past couple of days. This is what happens when I run out of coffee before payday

AJ Merron: Poet's Life

open.substack.com/pub/thecurio... I’ve been quietly busying myself with a whole new thing recently. A weird horror stories anthology show as a podcast. It’s nowhere near ready yet but it’s coming together and I’m going to be putting things on Substack soon if you’re interested

Today is shopping and cinnamon rolls day. Hopefully free cinnamon rolls. Might do a little writing but it’s my weekend, so only if I have a sudden idea pop into my head

Really should be here more often. Clawing my way out of a funk at the moment and trying to establish a new routine. Working on a new poetry collection and new ways of putting things out into the world

watching "What's Next" on Netflix, episode about AI and OMG it successfully horrified me. Especially when a rep from OpenAI says that the movie "Her" is a positive depiction of AI in movies... Did they actually watch the film?!

Back to the day job tomorrow but the afternoon will be spent in an academic library going down a rabbit hole for an essay I’m writing… must take a packed lunch

I’ve been weirdly productive the past few days. The excitement of a new thing I guess. The Lost Lancastrian podcast is changing into The Lost Book Nook and will be coming out soon… a few more bits to get sorted and hopefully a little onboarding

Rain during my lunch break is kinda pleasant against the window, not so much when I have to walk outside. To add insult to injury, I forgot to pack a book #booksky

I’m increasing my narrative/literary nonfiction reading, if you have any suggestions they’d be greatly appreciated #booksky #books #literarynonfiction #creativenonfiction

Got a book to finish but looking forward to getting stuck into the next few in my TBR, I usually have something fiction, a nonfiction and a poetry collection concurrently. How about you?
