Going out of your way to claim 3rd parties mattered when the numbers clearly show otherwise is no less dishonest than the maga claims that he actually won in 2020. He got 28% of eligible voters (23% of total pop.) to vote for him and won. 3rd party votes were too few to make a difference.

"He won because third-parties took a small slice so neither major party candidate actually got a majority," is objectively untrue. It's not about me. It's about 3rd party voters not affecting the election outcome at all.

Dammit, I was told this site didn't have a bot problem, but here it is.

Why do you think I took it personally just because I added information to an untrue statement about 3rd party voters affecting election results?
January 24, 2025 at 7:46 PM
There's not. Any "undesirables" are labeled illegal immigrants, and may or may not be released at a later time. It's been like that for almost a decade that I've been paying attention, just now the raids aren't secret.

43% of eligible voters, the largest group by far, abstained from voting for anyone in the presidential election. Even if every 3rd party voter (including the rightwing ones) has voted Dem, it wouldn't have changed the outcome of the election. It wouldn't have even flipped the popular vote.

You are welcome to advocate for critical thinking skills rather than for the removal of a tool you fear because you were lied to about it instead of using critical thinking skills to learn how it actually works 🤷🏻

Every time I hear about car vandalism, I'm reminded of that thread that talks about how difficult it diagnose a few balled up pieces of rag in the gas tank can be, because by the time it's stalled long enough to look for problems, they've floated away from the valve they were blocking.

You know how there's a very common idea about what weapons proficient time travellers would do? That, but without the time travel.

I keep meaning to buy a copy. My GF paid for one at a show lastlast September when y'all didn't have them on hand, but forgot to follow through on the actually getting it part 😅

This is like the other side of chuds referring to the wilderness as "out in the real world." Do they think the presence of pavement makes a place fictional or something?? It's still right here on planet Earth, same as everything else.

The law has an out clause. An EO can give a 90-day stay (which Biden chose not to use) if there's evidence of divestment in progress, and divestment would undo the ban entirely. This was designed to work like this well before November's results.

Most likely, with a new algorithm that focuses on what the US government says is okay to promote like with Meta & Twitter, instead of the algo being based on what you actually want to see like it is now.
January 19, 2025 at 4:40 PM
Biden actively chose not to enact the 90-day stay, citing respect for the "transfer of power," and leaving the decision to Trump of whether or not to enforce the ban that is already law.

If it were theft, it would get questions right instead of creatively wrong. And if we valued the ability to discern reality from fake images, Photoshop would be a problem, and we'd be teaching people critical thinking skills and how to identify misinformation same as the rest of the world.

Punctuation marks are changing. Mainstream English no longer relies on dots, dashes, and squiggles. Now we are using more picture-like characters.

The "right" answer is a sense of acceptance and belonging gained through expression of the authentic self, but that's an academic answer, not one learned from experience.

First the problem is training datasets without permission, now the problem is permission being granted? Sounds like "theft" was never actually an honest complaint.
