Update: happily, phone screen isn't *quite* as broken as I first thought!

Yes, glass is smashed, and the top right of the screen is inkly black nothingness. But the touchscreen bit still works fine, & its just about usable for the moment!

I've already been toying with the idea of downgrading to a dumbphone, or at least a much more stripped-back phone.

Breaking the screen on my current smartphone might have only sped that process up. :/
