crazy to think ive designed over 100 patterns and close to 200 magazine spreads since i started working full-time 😃

hennyways my portfolio is almost done and i love looking thru my website like wow i designed all those!!!

also idrc about climbing the corporate ladder or becoming art director someday…i dont see myself as a leader and i just wanna make things i like and not give myself more work lolll i dont see myself leaving anytime soon tho

in college, there were always times where i would compare my work to my peers (which is inevitable tbh), but now im comparing my work to my past self lol. but it’s not necessarily a bad thing bec having a little competitive spirit along with practice ofc is how i improved

but yeah not every design i put out will be something i like especially if it’s a subject i have no interest in. but i always try to submit something that i wont hate looking at

because i look back at my old designs sometimes and i think “how did i ever think of this”

also the longer i work here, the more i conform to the design standards and rules we’ve set which makes it harder to think outside of the box compared to the first year i worked here where i was able to think outside the box with a fresh new perspective

i told my boss about how i sometimes get imposter syndrome and he didn’t know what that was. and when i explained it to him, he never thought of me having that was affecting the work i was putting out. so yeah i will always be my own harshest critic…

like im proud of the work i do but there will always be those days where i dont like my work, but my team still praises my designs. but even their compliments wont defeat my own criticisms

I feel limited with my resources bec ive only been using a**** fonts and fonts are the main thing in my designs 😔 I’ve probably looked thru the entire font catalog over ten times already

I have no inspo for anything and my designs have been looking so basic im so sad

with the state of social media (twitter, tiktok, etc) rn in this presidency, it makes me want to use it less lol

if i had a nickel where an opp continuously deactivated and created new social media accounts every few months, i’d have two nickels which isnt much but it’s weird that it happened twice. should be considered a red flag at this point

GOOD RIDDANCE FINALLY. and i had the sweet satisfaction of blocking them in everything 🤭

in this thanksgiving im thankful for opp for assembling a gc where we’re all still active and thriving without them
